Your personal data will be kept in a form that allows you to be identified for the time strictly necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected and subsequently processed and, in any case, within the legal limits. To ensure that your personal data is always accurate and up-to-date, not to mention pertinent and complete, we ask that you please update it within My Account.

Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties for purposes that have not been allowed by law or without your express consent. In addition to the companies acting as data processors, your personal data is also disclosed to third parties, independent data controllers, for purposes in addition to and related to the provision of services requested by the user (for example, for transactions relating to purchases). For details regarding this aspect, see what is noted under the paragraph “To whom we disclose your personal data.” Furthermore, your data may be disclosed to the police or judicial authorities, in accordance with the law and upon formal request from these parties, for example within the context of the anti-fraud services of the Website. 3. HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

JERANTO directly collects personal data and other information from users as part of the online registration process for the Website,  or by ordering products on the Website to complete e-commerce transactions.  This data is processed by JERANTO within the limits and for the purposes illustrated in the notice presented to the user in the specific data collection section, including therein potentially disclosing it to third parties for purposes that are instrumental to providing the service required by the user, as specified in the paragraph “To whom we provide your personal data.”

JERANTO reserves the right to eliminate the accounts of registered users and all of the relative data, in the event that it is determined to contain unlawful information that is detrimental to the image of JERANTO and/or products of the latter or of third parties, or in any event content that is offensive or that promotes illegal or defamatory activity, pornographic content, that incites violence, that promotes discrimination in relation to race, sex, religion or sexual orientation.

4. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT RELEASE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Providing your personal data, in particular, contact information, your email address, your mailing address and telephone number, is necessary to enter into the agreement to purchase products on the Website.

Some of this data may conversely be essential to provide other services that are rendered on the website at your request or to fulfil obligations arising from the legal rules or regulations. Any refusal to provide the data necessary for such purposes could result in it being impossible to perform the contract to purchase products on the Website or to provide other services available on the Website – such as, for example, providing customer care services or, moreover, to properly fulfil the legal and regulatory obligations. A failure to provide data may thus constitute, depending on the case, a legitimate and justified reason not to perform the contract to purchase products on the Website or provide services through the Website.

The disclosure of data in addition to what was required, to perform specific legal or contractual obligations or to provide certain services upon request is, conversely, optional and does not entail any consequence for use of the website and its services or to purchase products on the Website. Depending on the case and, where necessary, in each instance, we will duly inform you of whether it is mandatory or optional to provide your personal data. We will specify whether it is mandatory or optional to provide your data by affixing an (*) to information that is mandatory, or to the individual data needed to provide services and purchase products on the Website. We remind you that a failure to indicate optional personal data will not result in any obligation or disadvantage.

5. TO WHOM WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Personal data may be provided to third party companies that perform specific services as Data Processors by virtue of contractual requirements (for example, companies that perform marketing activity). These parties, as Data Processors, will process your personal data exclusively for the purposes indicated in this policy and, in any case, in accordance with the legal limits and consent provided by you. Your personal data may also be disclosed to other recipients who independently process data, solely to perform a contract to purchase products on the Website (such as, for example, a credit institution, to perform electronic payment services remotely, by credit/debit card, whenever you decide to purchase a product on the Website) and only when these purposes do not conflict with the purposes for which you data has been collected and subsequently processed and, in any case, in a legally compliant manner. Data may not be disclosed, assigned, or in any other manner transferred to other third parties unless the users have been previously informed and, upon their consent, when this has been required by law.

6. SAFETY MEASURES

We have adopted safety measures to reduce the risk of data destruction and loss, including accidental, unauthorised access or processing without consent, or that does not comply with the collection purposes indicated in our Privacy Policy.

Nevertheless, JERANTO cannot guarantee to its users that the measures adopted for the security of the Website and transmission of data and information on the Website limit or exclude all risk of access without consent or dissemination of data. We advise you to make sure that your computer is equipped with the appropriate software to protect from transmission to data networks, both incoming and outgoing (such as up-to-date antivirus systems) and that your Internet services provider has adopted suitable measures for safely transmitting data onto the network (such as, for example, firewalls and anti-spam filters).

On the Website each purchase is made with the utmost security thanks to the use of the most advanced technological and coding systems (SSL).

7. YOUR RIGHT TO ACCESS DATA AND OTHER RIGHTS

You always have the right to obtain confirmation from JERANTO of whether or not there is personal data concerning you, even if it has not yet been recorded, and to have it communicated to you in an intelligible way.  You also have the right to obtain from JERANTO information concerning the source of your personal data; the purposes and procedures for processing your personal data; the logic applied in the event of processing with the assistance of electronic tools; the identification details of the data processors and the data controller; an indication of the parties or categories of parties to which the personal data may be disclosed or that may come in contact with it in their capacity as, for example, data processors or agents. In part, this information is contained in our Privacy Policy. To find out more, you may contact our Customer Service using the appropriate contact form or by sending a request at the address of the registered office indicated above.

You always have the right to obtain from JERANTO:

  • an update, correction or, when you have an interest in doing so, a supplement to your personal data;
  • the deletion, transformation to anonymous format or blocking of personal data that has been processed in violation of the law, including data it is not necessary to keep in relation to the purposes for which the data was collected or subsequently processed;
  • a statement that the operations indicated in letters (a) and (b) have been disclosed, including as concerns their content from those whose data was communicated or disseminated, except in the case where this performance proves impossible or entails the use of means that are clearly disproportionate to the right protected.

You will nevertheless have the right to partially or fully object:

  • for legitimate reasons to the processing of personal data concerning you, even if it is pertinent to the purpose of the collection;
  • to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of sending advertising or direct marketing material, or to conduct market research or commercial communications.

Furthermore, if the advertising concerns products that are analogous to those purchased, it may be sent to your email address even without express consent, provided that you did not refuse such use when you provided your email or on subsequent occasions (Art. 130, Subsection 4, Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 of 30 June 2003), while your express, voluntary consent will be needed to legally send advertising emails relating to products of a kind other than the one you purchased. Likewise, your information may be processed without your consent to provide you with services you voluntarily requested (such as, for example, sending the newsletter).

Each time your consent is needed, you will be informed in advance and will have the possibility of updating, confirming or denying your consent for use of your personal data, following the appropriate instructions provided.

We want to inform you that JERANTO may process your personal data even if you do not consent, in certain cases provided for by law (for example, when this is necessary to perform a legal obligation) or when it is necessary to perform the obligations that have been contractually assumed towards users (for example, if you have purchased products on the Website) or if you have made a request to use specific services through the Website.

In any case, we wish to inform you that JERANTO guarantees that its users may exercise, without needing to state the reasons why, their own right not to receive advertising materials or commercial communications in the future. In particular, you may exercise your right to oppose via any of the following methods:

  • using the methods indicated in any communication received;
